It’s that time of year, again. The leaves are turning green, the pollen count is rising, the days are becoming longer, and your deans are sending you emails about your PD hours.

Whether you are short 30 minutes or 5 hours and 30 minutes, there are still plenty of PDH-providing options for you – in-person, online, and on-demand. But don’t forget: if you do not have tenure (or if you’re a Librarian) you are not required to complete the 6 hours of professional development per year!

How can I find PDH-providing programming?

Your best bet for finding the most up-to-date calendar of faculty development events is in Cornerstone. Here’s how to see what’s being offered:

  • Cornerstone > Events Calendar
  • In the left-hand column, click Add Subject Filters
  • In the pop-up box click the square-plus button [ ⊞ ] to expand the menu
  • Click the purple plus sign [ ➕ ] next to Faculty Professional Development Hour Score Eligible (Full-Time Faculty)
  • Click Done to view the limited results on the Calendar.

Not sure how many hours you have? Check them in Cornerstone with the directions on this page: https://fpdatcod.wordpress.com/fpd-faqs/#view-transcript
